Workshop Information
Each student will come away with their own, finished puppet and basic operating techniques.
What to Expect
You will get to design and make your own soft sculpture puppet. Throughout the course, you will develop textile based puppet-making skills through working with varied materials including foam, felt and leather. We will explore the process of creating technical 2-D drawings and using these to make our 3-D puppets. Suitable for all, but basic sewing skills are desirable.
Transferable Skills and Future Careers
All of our workshops will teach you valuable skills that will be of benefit in a variety of careers. This workshop would particularly suit anyone seeking to do further study or embark on a future career in TV, theatre, film, animation or fashion.
Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible to apply you will need to be 14 – 18 years old during the dates of the workshop.
You should be creative and have an interest in the careers listed above, or similar areas. You should also have good hand-eye co-ordination.
In your application you should demonstrate a passion for working with your hands.
You must be able to attend every day of the workshop.

Our workshops are fully-funded by generous sponsors. Places are limited, therefore, we recommend you submit your application as early as possible.
If the workshop becomes oversubscribed, we will close the application process early.
