Workshop Information
During this 6 week course you will experiment with the traditional glass lampworking technique before collaborating with artist Helen Pailing to design and create a contemporary chandelier from waste glass. The resulting artwork will be exhibited at National Glass Centre.
Helen Pailing stitches together and recrafts various salvaged and waste materials destined for landfill to create sculptural objects, architectural interventions and installations. She is currently exhibiting Adorn at National Glass Centre, a chandelier made using almost 1000 pieces of salvaged glass wrapped in copper foil.
